Meet the Artist

Born in Manchester in the mid-1970s Liz developed an early passion for art and wildlife, spending many hours in local nature reserves whilst growing up. She went on to study art A Level at college, followed by a foundation course at Manchester Art School, before gaining employment in publishing and graphic design.

Working digitally for the last ten years, Liz has recently returned to her original passion- drawing- entering her work in local open exhibitions and starting to produce limited and open edition prints. Working from her own primary source material in the form of sketches and photographs, Liz spends in excess of 40 hours on each new piece of work working in a wide range of graphite pencil grades to build up highly-detailed drawings. Her work is now held in private collections around the world.

A keen conservationist, Liz has at times worked for the Wildlife Trust and Greenpeace. A proportion of print sales from this site will go to support the Born Free Foundation. You can find out more about them at http://www.bornfree.org.uk.
