A range of limited edition prints are now available from the original pencil drawings. All prints are individually numbered and signed by the artist and can be purchased with or without high quality single, white mounts. Indian Orphans  Indian Orphans, Image size 25cm x 19cm, Limited Edition of 495 click image for larger view "I originally had the idea for this drawing during a visit to a wildlife sanctury in India in 2006. An area that had been previously been given over to loggers had been turned into a tourist conservation resort and the tame elephants, which had previously been used to fell trees, were used for tourist rides for an hour a day - something which myself and my partner passed on, but which ensured a living for the local people and meant the wild elephants living outside the vilage had a protected future. Unfortunately poaching was still an issue and occassionally the village took on the responsibility of raising abandoned calfs, such as these two, who were running around the village huts like a couple of puppies and playing with the villager's children!
